Cooper was born a healthy, beautiful child - our second son. He grew heartily, developed normally, and was full of life and energy until age 19 months when he was the victim of a drowning accident. Doctors thought he wouldn't make it through the night, but he fought and made it through. He woke up from a coma 2 days later and began breathing on his own. We thought this was good news, but soon found out he had severe brain damage that could be permanent.
Devastated, we brought Cooper home and tried to adjust to our new life and his constant care needs. We followed doctor's advice on rehabilitation therapy and saw few changes for the better. We discovered alternative therapies and began seeing very positive results!
The therapies we found to work wonders for Cooper include:
Equestrian Therapy
Patterning
Quadriciser
Cranial Sacrel Therapy
|
Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments
Adeli Suit Therapy (Intense Physical Therapy)
Essential Oil Massage
Homeopathic Remedies
|
These therapies have already helped Cooper to recover some functions including the ability to eat by mouth and use his vision! Unfortunately, many treatments available are not covered by insurance and can be very costly. They also sometimes require travel expenses in addition to the treatment expense itself!
The out-of-pocket expense makes it impossible for us to afford. Rehabilitation efforts can cost thousands of dollars per month! Cooper should not be denied the possibility of recovery- in part or whole - because of lack of funds. We want Cooper to run and play again like a healthy child - to not cry each day in pain - to communicate - to have the life he deserves. We can't do it alone!
This is why we seek your help! If there is any way you could help us provide the treatments Cooper needs to recover we would be so grateful!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
